Touch of happiness

In the week that’s just gone by,

I’ve felt something deep, can’t lie.

Not everyone’s joy is in mountain’s height,

Not everyone chases the sea’s delight.

Some find peace in a quiet room,

With a show that melts the gloom.

Some just wish to sleep in peace,

And let the world move as it please.

Through these thoughts I’ve come to see,

A truth that softly spoke to me —

Unless you’ve courage, pure and strong,

To keep someone happy lifelong.

You’ve no right to touch their light,

And fade away into the night.

Life’s a battle for all, it’s true —

Don’t steal a smile you can’t renew.
