The Body Knows.

Situation 1 January 2022 — I was in my engineering college. Semester-end exams were going on without a single day gap. That semester, I had hardly focused on any subject taught in class or even read properly. Still, I was somehow managing to pass the exams. Then came the toughest subject for me — CCMW of Engineering. I had hardly read a single module. I started studying early in the morning but was only able to complete 1.5 modules before 5 p.m. The whole hostel was in panic mode; most of us were stuck at the same level. Around 6 p.m., anxiety kicked in. I started writing formulas on my friend’s room wall with a pencil — just because that’s what he was doing. I still remember, things started looking blurry. My mind was filled with fear — tomorrow I am going to fail. I don’t know why the human mind links failure with the end of the world. Whatever the answer is to this question, I don't know! But my situation was this — I am going to fail. Overthinking had taken full control. My mi...

Touch of happiness

In the week that’s just gone by, I’ve felt something deep, can’t lie. Not everyone’s joy is in mountain’s height, Not everyone chases the sea’s delight. Some find peace in a quiet room, With a show that melts the gloom. Some just wish to sleep in peace, And let the world move as it please. Through these thoughts I’ve come to see, A truth that softly spoke to me — Unless you’ve courage, pure and strong, To keep someone happy lifelong. You’ve no right to touch their light, And fade away into the night. Life’s a battle for all, it’s true — Don’t steal a smile you can’t renew. - Raghupati Jha

Let’s go back to the oldest memory that our conscious mind can recall. Imagine yourself walking on a big, round playground with a circular track. Put all the people you have known till date in that field—people from the same phase in the same circular track. You can have “n” number of circular tracks depending on the different phases of your life. Just cross-check if you forgot to add someone into that field—maybe someone from family, friends, or acquaintances. Now you have a ground full of people you have known and can recall at this moment. Imagine yourself walking on the circular track. The people around you are busy doing their work; they are from different phases of your life—some from childhood, some from school, some from college or work, and some may just be acquaintance. These people from different phases hardly know each other. While walking on the track, you are walking through different phases of your life. Some faces lighten up your mood, while others you just don’t ...

Eternal Love

My heart resides in thoughts of you, Every heartbeat echoes love true. Without you, life is a lonely road, With you, each moment a beautiful abode. You're the melody that fills my soul, Your love has painted my life whole. In your eyes, my heart finds a sea, Of happiness, where I'm meant to be. Raghupati Jha
